I've made no comment on how well it will work, it may be perfect. Hopefully it will be. Is it a feature Kindle users have been clamouring for? If so I haven't read about it. My comment reflects my personal opinion (I am allowed those, aren't I?). I know I could switch it off if I wanted. If I was a Kindle customer (which I freely admit I'm not) I think I might have wanted the available development time/money to be channeled into something a bit more interesting or time-saving.
