Kobo used to have a page that listed independent sellers of their ereaders, but I can't seem to find it on their site now. This site list mosts of the stores, but not all of them. I know Family Christian Booksellers also sells them in Illinois for instance (but the last time I called them, they didn't have them in stock but could order a reader, maybe that's why they're not on the list).

So I've picked mine up from The Book Cellar, and it's right next to a nice outdoor cafe, a section that's more like a park walkway, and near a library as well, so it's nice to make the special trip there too.

Edit: I should add that it can be hit-or-miss which readers any particular store stocks, so call ahead and make sure they have the one you're interested in.
