Actually I was referring to the King James Version. King George came along some time after James I (who was also James 6th of Scotland). Verlog I was referring to the fact that when the stories of people in the Bible are told the text doesn't sanitize them. They are shown as real people with flaws rather than being put up on a pedestal above the rest of us. I won't go into detail here as I don't want the thread to end up being moved to politics & religion but the text doesn't white wash anything.
