Given that there are 190 +/- 8 countries I will be somewhere in the 34% - 38% range for covering the world by the end of the year. That still seems rather paltry even though I know it was quite a bit of effort to even get this far.

Do you have an idea about how much of the world you have covered by population? I assume you are WAY above 34-38% with both China and India on your list.

Edit: I did some of the math...it looks like you ave 9 of the 12 countries with 100M+ populations on your list, only missing Philippines, Nigeria and Bangladesh (I am surprised this one is on the list). Just those 9 puts you at 55+% of the world's population. Seems like you are doing well to me. It has been very interesting following your travels this year.
