I enjoyed it and I resisted reading it because I am more into fantasy and historical fiction, though I do branch out and love genre-mixing/defying. Anyway, I thought "dreary realistic fiction" but I found it dark rather than dreary with twisted psychology and a hint of meta-fiction and ended up loving it. Like Orlok, I listened to the audiobook.
