I have bought stuff from Argos when I lived in UK and they let me return items at their costs. I only have to take the item to one of their collection point (a "Spar" corner store which is about 1 mile away from home in my case). I haven't done it with any other online stores though. I had a PC monitor which gone totally black on me but it was over 14 days and the seller CCL Computers had a new one sent out to me and the broken one collected all within a week.
