Remember how I was layed off earlier? Well I have been working there part time and getting partial unemployment and they were telling me they were close to being able to bring me back full-time. Had a meeting today since I found out I've only got two weeks on unemployment left. Turns out they've screwed me and have no intention of my position going back to full time until at least the first of the year. It's partly my fault I know, but having been there for 20 years and having a loyalty to the owner made me trust them (thought they had loyalty to me too) more than I should have. I've been looking all this time, but not as hard as I could have and there just aren't many design jobs here that fit. I'm hoping to hear back from one company, but who knows. Sorry to share the misery, just needed to vent a bit. Sorry for the way OT.

That's awful. I hope you find something soon My husband is in the same boat, dangled with the prospect of getting his old job back but the company hasn't got the contracts for the work. This is the 2nd government contract he's had that's gone kerplooey on a weird schedule rather than the usual option renewals/ bridge contracts/ new contractor scenarios.
