Unfortunately, I don't think that it will get fixed, since it looks like the $4.99 discounts on the first few novels were just a lingering outgrowth of the Kobo weekend sale (they never dropped in the other stores) and not a regular introductory lower price like I'd assumed/hoped they were. And they've jacked up the price on the omnibus edition of #3-5.
Do you belong to a library system which might carry extra ebooks for their patrons outside of the regular province-wide aggregate catalogue?
For example, Burnaby Public Library has
#3 in digital format through one of their alternative suppliers, even though it's not listed in the main BC Library2Go.
IMHO, you could technically read #4 without having read #3 and be reasonably okay, but it really does build on a particular Thing That Went Wrong That Needs To Be Made Right Again that happened in the previous installment, which would somewhat help with the understanding of Ava's personal character development arc which in turn leads to some of her future professional associations, if you want to see it happen as it happens for best effect.
