Just looking at size statistics can be deceiving. The 2012 Fire HD was 5.4 wide, which may not seem like much more than 5", but in truth, it really is. I've always found it to be excessively wide.
As far as I can tell, the Galaxy Tab 4 only comes in 8GB, and is on the expensive side. Two strikes against it! I will not buy another tablet with only 8GB. It is too limiting. Even with the SD card. Major fail!
I like that the Fire 6 is thicker, also, it will feel sturdier. Since I plan to shove it in my purse a lot, sturdy is good!
