I got my Fire HD 6 on Thursday and while I liked the color choices, I think I'm happy I went with the black. It's so small and cute that I think colors would have made it look too much like a toy for my liking. YMMV.
I have a cover coming on Monday. Reading on it is nice. I have not noticed glare, but like a previous poster stated, I turn down the brightness when in a darker room. I also have enjoyed playing games on it. I have not tried videos yet.
Mine was set to Chinese( or maybe Japanese?) when I got it.
I've bought Kindles for years and never had this happen. A quick call to Kindle support solved that though.
I'm pleased with this purchase. I think this is going to be a success for Amazon.
