Yes, I was hoping so too, and probably many others. That would have been the perfect reader.
Oh well. You can never have everything you want.
From what I've seen on various photos, the new Basic does not seem bad to me either, even if its text is a bit lighter. Of course some of them probably have worse screens than others.
