Because you can generally bypass using the reading apps library interface all together. If I'm looking for a book I find it in CC (via Author, Title, Genre Tag, Series, etc.) and CC opens the book in whatever I've set as my default reading app for that file type which for myself happens to be Moon+ Pro.
