Well, I'm not Uncle Duke, but I can confirm it. My stocks in Krispy Kreme - which I sold just moments before the first 900 point DOW crash - are the only stocks I actually made a profit on in the entire 2008.



(Lost 90% of total portfolio, so the donut profit didn't make a dent in the overall total loss. Oh well, win some, lose some.)
