Oh! I also meant to post a link to a blog post I came across that brought to mind some of the discussions we've had about historical vs mistoricals. It's by Sunita of Dear Author at her own blog, which I looked up because someone mentioned on DA that she'd posted about the EC debacle.

I'm going to pick up the book she says was a miss for her, because it does sound interesting. I think, though, that my recent slump is due to these issues in being frustrated over the same things she writes about. I nodded my head vigorously (to myself) many times while reading.

Now I take myself to bed and attempt to pick back up my book about a female leader of Welsh outlaws and the knight who loved her long ago. Maybe this will be the time it "takes" for me.
