The hierarchical feature gives you *one* level of hierarchy in the grouping drawer. In your screen captures, that one level is "Genre unread". All sub genres are shown as individual line items no matter how many dots are in them, except that they have the first level (again, in your case "Genre unread") removed from the string.
There is no way that I can with reasonable effort (or even unreasonable effort) show selectable hierarchies for 2nd level on.
The change has no effect at all on what is shown in book details.

I do not want two level, just one. Even after turning off hierarchical, my screen still strings everything together including the non hierarchical tags. The first one has Genre read.Fantasy, read.-bought, read and they should be separate groupings. One for Genre read.Fantasy, one for read.-bought, and one for read . I'll post what they look like when I restore my previous version.
