To answer the question regarding why I am willing to spend money on the KV (upgrading from Kindle keyboard purchased in 2010):

1. Page turn buttons -- one of the reasons I skipped the paperwhite and held onto my KK. And you can turn them off if you don't like them anyway.
2. 4GB storage - the same that is on my KK. Yes, now true for PW, but see #1 and #3
3. Better screen - my KK is 167 ppi (if I remember correctly)
4. I assume the lighting will be good (if not, I will "downgrade" to PW) and I am curious about the adaptive lighting, although skeptical.
5. Mild, but uncontrollable, desire to have the newest technology with the assumption that I will be happier for longer without upgrading so that saves me money in the long run.
