To add to the "there's nothing wrong with refurbished" argument, I bought my Sony PRS-350 as a refurbished unit from Sony a little over three years ago. Used it heavily for the first two years I had it--before getting my KPW2. Still use it on occasion. Have never had any problems with it--and if it hadn't been labeled as a refurbished unit, there is no way I would have known.
