Most books are novels, and readable on any device. The exceptions are only noticeable when you specifically look for them.
Textbooks, for example, are usually Print Replica. You will need a tablet, either an app or the Fire, to read them (I think the PW may do them also).

The current count (as of this morning) is 73 books. This number includes the types eschwartz described as well as books that include audio features, such as those labeled, "A Sing 'N Count Book" or "Free Audio Book Inside".
