Why should I take that into account, I am reading more and paying less than when I was reading paper books, I have no objection at all to a company making a profit on a quality service that they are providing me.
Also, I think your numbers are flawed unless you are including several years to cover the cost of the hardware as the amount of people who Amazon would make money from in a year based on giving away this model would seem to be a fairly low subset of heavy users.
