As an alternative, can I use KindleGen to generate the file, despite mine is an ebook I wish to sell? From the T&C I am not sure whether it is allowed...

Looking at my file (Epub and AZW3 through the Kindle reader) the file looks fine, but I cannot see if the preview is being generated.

One thing I have noticed though, the page numbering is odd... instead of counting the pages it seems to be counting the lines, so my book is made of 3000 "pages" instead of 160.

Have I done something daft at conversion level? The problem seems to be with the Epub I used to generate the AZW3 file because even using KindleGen to create the Kindle veriosn (from Epub) the page numbering doesn't change.
