Hmmm. Well now, there ya go. I've spent most of my time in the Windows world and learned well there the lesson never to be an early Microsoft adopter. Sometimes it's even safer to skip an ENTIRE OS iteration, like Me or Vista or 8. But wouldn't you know, I didn't think Apple could be as bad. I really did assume Apple had something more on the ball, and that I could safely download an update from Apple, based upon its reputation and the fact that all us lemmings had embraced its authoritarian over-priced "our way or the highway" mode of business and technology. That's the price we pay for "quality"... until I very recently learned: Ha!...not so much, Apple. Not so much.

Live and learn.
