This is very nice. I am still playing with it, but it seems complete and fast. In all cases I have gotten the correct results. One small request. for rating, could you show a line of stars (like in the book details page) instead of a number?
|
Nope. For performance reasons the containers are text views and cannot be a graphics view. I could put out asterisks I suppose.

I like this a lot, but I think you should go farther and but every section longer than one entry into a subscreen. The loss of time in having to go to a submenu is more than made up for (IMO) by the greater ease in finding the correct section.

I chose 4. The problem I see is that if the descriptions are not spot on then people will have to tap to see if what they are looking for is in the subscreen. I have that problem and I should know where things are.

I like this new functionality a lot, although as DoctorOh said, I can't get into book details from the book list.

Fixed in 3.4.4g.

Love the Title text in Grid view. That's a better way to do my suggestion which I hadn't thought of. One suggestion: Instead of showing the entire title text, perhaps just show the first few characters. Its less cluttered and it actually makes it easier to see where you are in the list because there is less on the display to distract you. You might even want to experiment with only showing the values in the first (or perhaps the last) column for the same reason.
|
I am not in favor of showing fewer. If I pick 10, then someone will insist on all or 15 or 8. As for showing only in the last column, I could do that. I am not sure it would help anything because it is so easy to fix my eye on a particular cell position to watch the info go by, and all that is needed to see stable and correct information is to let the list stop moving.

I never get a scroller in the grouping drawer that I can grab. I also can't see any scroll bar (even when I have it always on) unless I set it to left side.

Interesting. For me, they are visible and can be grabbed on both sides. I wonder if there is an android version difference in play?
Does the scroller move when you fling? If so, can you grab it just after it moves?
