I have not had to redownload the tools for any change. And looking at the seven entries in the changelog on Alf's site, the (sporadic) updates have not had anything to do with updating the DeDRM scheme. So please stop making things up.
The Win8 app is not even the same product as K4PC, why are you trying to confuse the issue?
