The Kindle originally came with an SD slot and audio capability. Kindle also had audible compatibility. Amazon has been dropping useful features from Kindles. You have a very odd way of looking at it then. Most people either worship at Apple's altar regardless, or complain about the lack of an SD card regardless of whether there used to be one or not.
And most people don't complain about the lack of an SD card on the Kindle, because they don't need such a frivolous feature.
I will listen to your complaint about the lack of an SD card when you also complain about the lack of an importance-conferring $300 price tag.
