I'd suspect most of them are micro-B plug/receptacle. The rectangular micro-A plug is used on the master end such as one laptop I have that uses a micro-AB USB 3 receptacle for 1 of it's 3 USB 3 ports. Sadly after close to a year, I've never seen a device that came with a matching cable. By the time I do, I suspect I will be hunting USB 3.1 C connectors instead.

Basically, the chamfered corners of the B plug let it fit into into a B or AB socket but the square corners on the A plug will not plug into a B receptacle.
