This sounds like it, except I'm also getting some freezing/delayed response (but not reverting back to homepage) while reading.

I don't have alot of books on my Touch (around 25) - and none are especially large. That doesn't mean there isn't a corrupt file somewhere. I was thinking of deleting all the books on the unit, except the one I'm reading; or visa-versa.

Any comments?
