Yes, you do choose the "pub". You can decide to do an ePub 2 or an epub 3 eBook. I'm saying to do an ePub 2 format eBook as there is a good chance an ePub 3 format eBook could very well end up as a Kobo only kepub and that won't sell well at all if it even sells.

I doubt it will do any good, but I did express my opinion on the kepub stuff. I didn't get an answer about whether/when on epub3 or kepub as far as policy or choices.

Some of the BPHs are putting out ePub 3 (Tor for one) and I did take a look at a couple of the new ePub 3 and they were being sold as kepub only.
