Especially since it is just a software switch that Amazon can toggle ON/OFF. I cannot imagine Amazon not being willing to take another $20 to turn it OFF!

I think that
Next-Gen Paperwhite Display actually classifies the Voyager as a Paperwhite too. I'm guessing it is like calling the Paperwhite model a Chevy and the Voyager a Cadillac. Voyager is apparently viewed by Amazon as a premium reader compared to the Paperwhite, hence the premium price.
A lot of people are angry about the price, but if it actually works correctly then I don't mind paying more. Let us hope they finally got it right.
