Yes the Voyage is expensive but I'm upgrading because the new features are important to me:

300 PPI is amazing. I care most about the resolution since I read pretty much exclusively read on e readers. That's actually comparable now to the printed page as mentioned in the Verge preview.

Lighter and thinner. PW2 with a case seemed just a bit too bulky for me. I always appreciated the KB4 form factor which the Voyage is closer to.

The pressure buttons on the side with adjustable settings are great idea IMO. Of course I will need to try them out but much better than swiping on a touch screen and there is always the chance that a physical button will malfunction eventually. I always missed the buttons on my KPW2.

The light sensor seems a bit gimmicky and if I was amazon I would have done without it. They probably could have used a bit cheaper materials and kept the price point closer to $150 without the sensor. I'm in for the PPI, weight, and side pressure buttons. I can always return it if it isn't for me and stick with my PW2 which is a really solid device.
