Hi all! I recently picked up a kobo aura HD second hand. It worked wonderfully for about a week. Then I plugged it into my laptop to add more books I had downloaded, and it showed the "restoring" screen with the squares like a loading screen. Next thing I knew, the screen went blank white. I thought perhaps the battery just died as I hadn't checked the status in a while. So I left it to charge and went to bed. Got up the next day it's completely unresponsive. I have tried all of the following steps both plugged into the computer for charge and not connected to anything.

- short press reset button with paperclip
- long press reset button with paperclip
- quick slide power button
- slide and hold power button
- hold power button and -"light" button at the same time for 20 seconds.

The MOST response I get is that the screen flashes black 2 times and then goes back to write. Absolutely jotting else. These are the only things I could find on google... I am praying one of you may have more insight? I have emailed kobo support as well, but it has been 5 business days and no response as yet. Is it fixable or do I need to toss it?
