Well, other than Amazon really digging in their heels in this war over end-user modifications.
Lab126 crew has **almost** found out how to lock down an embedded Linux device.
The "new models" is just the annual October churn before the Holiday Marketing Season.
Nothing much is known about them (yet) - stay tuned over the next month or so.
