Sep was the traditional release month for new touches. Then Apple changed it to Oct starting with the 5th gen touch. The first four touches were released yearly. Then it was two years before the 5th gen touch was released. Now it'll be two years again if the 6th gen touch is released next month.
I don't think pricing will be any different than the iPh 6. The current pricing for the iPt 5 (16GB, 64GB) matches contract pricing for the iPh 6. Based on that, a 128GB iPt 6 should price out at $399.
The unlocked iPhones are outrageously priced. Nearly $1000 for a 128GB iPh 6+
