Though Harlequin did not make as much profit last year in years past, it was still an extrememly successful company. It's the newspapers which the parent company also owned which were doing so poorly that resulted in the sale of Harlequin from everything I've read about it. And Harper Collins wanted to buy them to obtain their foreign distribution network. I'm still wondering which, if any, lines they will close now that the buyout is complete.
