Dangerous Passage by Lisa Harris is 1st in her Southern Crimes series of Atlanta-based romantic suspense novels with strong mystery/crime elements, this installment involving a female detective/behavioural analyst vs a suspected serial killer, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint.
Several of the customer reviews say that this has a strong emphasis on the murder mystery elements of the crime and the already-established romance between the main characters is more of a subplot, so regular religious crime thriller readers may also be interested in trying this (one of the reviews says that the "inspirational" elements seem to be what they consider to be "strongly Christian"). Harris has also won a Christy Award for a previous (probably-romantic) suspense novel,
Blood Ransom, which incidentally happens to be one we also got as a
freebie a long time ago.
