That is what I noticed as well.

There are two ways a future-dated timestamp can be set. The first: having the incorrect date/time on the computer when the file is changed. The second: some program did it.

The utility at http://www.petges.lu/home/ seems to be a reasonable tool for manipulating timestamps.

I will change calibre to ignore future-dated timestamps.
