Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone

When they come I will stand my ground
Stand my ground I’ll not be afraid
Thoughts of home take away my fear
Sweat and blood hide my veil of tears

Once a year say a prayer for me
Close your eyes and remember me
Never more shall I see the sun
For I fell to a Germans gun

... or a Thai fencer's epe'e...

Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday! The sun rose this morning to illuminate my pain. Everything hurts. EVERYTHING! I think keeping up with young super-athletes for 3-4 hours of fighting is NOT on the list of recommended activities for senior citizens. It's going to take two hours in a boiling hot jacuzzi, another two hours of deep muscle massage, and four pounds of Tiger Balm just to bring me up to 'dead and buried.' Wow! These guys are really, really good! It's no wonder they are on the Thai National team. What a wonderful afternoon of fencing, but I'm paying the piper this morning! Thank God for "Yorkshire Tea!" Taylors knew what they were doing when that set out to produce a tea that had legs!
