I think giving the phones to the troops may be a good idea, though I don't know as they'd work where the troops currently are.

I don't know yet what the schools need/want for Wacom tablets. I was thinking on the order of a Grafire or other low-end tablet, but I want to find out if the other high school has anything first.

The reason there are two high schools involved is that my daughter has a choice of high schools, since our town doesn't have one. At the open house for the default school, I got into a conversation with the art teacher about 3D and other computer-based art, and found out they had only one computer and barely any software. I happen to have two iMacs sitting here that I salvaged from my university (too old for anyone here to want, but still perfectly functional) so I thought I'd set one up and give it to the school. Then it turned out that my daughter will probably be going to a different school, so I thought I'd give the other one to that school. But I haven't had a chance yet to find out what they have and what they might need. I'll probably have more info sometime in the next week or so.
