Wait, there's a much better solution then the way you are doing it. Once you get the ePub the way you want it, don't convert to Mobi. Nope, waste of time to convert ePub to an obsolete format. Just get an Android app to read ePub and load the ePub to read. That way you get your choice of margins instead of Amazon's forced margins. And any other changes you want to make to the ePub you can do even if it's something Mobi doesn't support.
