The Tessa Bailey is a contemp as is the Meg Benjamin (part of her Konigburg series). The Nina Bruhns trilogy is romantic suspense as is the Maya Banks (part of her KGI series). The Beth Yarnall trilogy is contemp, maybe with some suspense. I think the hero is FBI. I haven't read those yet so can't say which category they fall into.

I wouldn't consider any of them erotica, though I suppose some might consider the Tessa Bailey books as such.

I agree it is more frequent on paranormal and urban fantasy.
