Guessing here, but I would estimate it works about 1 out of every 5 times. (I read, close the cover, open, read, etc.)
Strange but no biggie. The old way to change the light always work.

I have the same..and like I said, sometimes I select all the words,it opens the dictionary,or it changes the page when you touch it and shake a bit with your finger.. it is a nice feature but it often takes me more time then just touch the top of the page, and change the light setting the old way, then I am sure I didn't make highlights or open dictionary,or turn several pages back.
In general, I set the light once and don't change at all,but it is a new feature so I play with it, on the Aura HD it works perfect, maybe my fingers are to big for the Glo or I shake a bit to much with my hand, there are so much other things to fix and in stead of doing that, they add something that I am not able to use, just put my hand or finger on the bezel doesn't work so good because of the sleepcover to... and yesterday when I want to go a page back to look into something, I changed the light by accident

but there are no settings to enable or disable the feature, and when I tried to put it back at the old setting, I highlighted some words again, ending at,press on top, press the light, use the slider..then I can set it at 9 to.. with the "finger feature" there is no bar showing the value,so often I just have to go to the old feature just to put it back on the right value..this only happens to me when I use the Glo..with the Aura HD I have no troubles but that one is downstairs for the daytime readings.. it's nice but it was not on any point of my top 10..
