Leo Tolstoy's
War and Peace in the Maude translation in what is called the Inner Sanctum edition is currently free from
Amazon US.
I can't tell you from personal experience why this particular edition stands out as I've only just downloaded it myself. Others have praised the physical edition in reviews scattered across Amazon's site.
I do see an obvious hardcover scan of Napoleon's advance and retreat routes. The table of contents lists some other maps and character lists. The edition appears to be an electronic version of
this 1942 hardcover.
There's also an excerpt from a book called
Give War and Peace a Chance: Tolstoyan Wisdom for Troubled Times.
