Just wanted to add re: the poor reviews on Goodreads, this book was much more like her older Silhouette Desire books and not like her Psy/Changeling series. So I can understand her paranormal romance fans not liking it.

There were a lot of sex scenes and the h/h jump into bed less than an hour after they meet.
I don't read the Guild Hunter series so I can't comment on how it compares, but I'm under the impression that is more of an urban fantasy series, so again this book is very different. I think the second half was much stronger than the first half, so even if you start out not liking it you may end up doing so.
