First thing the unit did was to update. So, yes, I'm using 3.8.0 firmware.

Oh ... figured it out. Seems I never installed the KoboRoot.tgz file. Okay, now it works ... now I'm on to figuring out why Koreader is pretty much non-functional. More reading
