Is that really the best you can do?

"Good morning win"

What a sad example of the previously mentioned lack of imagination in today's MobileRead members.

A brief, almost rote, response in a doomed attempt to finally win the thread.

Whereas what you need to stand any chance of winning the needs is an entertaining and informative post that will brighten other members' days so much that they'll forgot to make a post themselves.</RANT>

For example, my public transport has been on time all this week so far. Hooray. I hope that's brightened your day. It's certainly brightened mine - there were no broken points, no leaves on the line, no foreigners climbing over train station roofs..... What's that last one, you ask? The memorable day when my train got stopped just 60 seconds from my destination station because someone had climbed onto the station roof. (It turned out they were without a ticket, and thought that climbing over the station roof was a nicely unobtrusive way to avoid the ticket barrier. That it was not unobtrusive at all, and placed themselves in danger of electrocution from the overhead electric cables seemed to escape their notice. Luckily for them, the station staff got the power cut to the cables, leaving my train (and several others) stranded on the line for hours while they remained on the roof, worried about getting arrested if/when they came down!)

By the time a rescue diesel engine had towed us back to the previous station, it was too late. I got home about eight hours after leaving it.

So I didn't make it into work that day.

But today I do have the win!
