I love my ebook for straight reading but when I want to jump back/forth to reference another section, I find it inconvenience. While I understand the textbook market is being pursued, my preference is paper for textbooks and technical manuals.
But then again, I belong to a diminishing breed that still likes reading the newspaper in the morning (as opposed to getting news on a computer or via the Kindle..although I do use both for mid-day updates).
