- I hold the power switch for 15 seconds
- I tried the pinhole
- I tried the pinhole and the light switch simultaneously
Can you help me out with this issue? Thanks in advance.
First plug your Kobo into a power source for at least a couple of hours. Then slide and hold the power switch for 20 seconds. Release the power switch. Press and hold the light switch. While holding the light switch, slide and hold the power switch until the LED lights up*. Continue holding the light switch until the LED starts blinking rapidly (discoing). Release the light switch and -- hopefully -- your Kobo will now be in factory restore mode.

* Alternate procedure is to press and hold the light switch while triggering the pinhole reset. Again, hold the light switch until the LED starts blinking rapidly. This worked for me on one Glo that had a defective power switch after the owner opened it and tried replacing the uSD card.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to be contacting Kobo's customer service.

Good luck!
