I want to replace my iPhone 5 with a 6 now. I really miss NFC (an old android phone I had included it which worked grate with google wallet). Possible do it over christmas, upgrade the whole family, they are on the 4S.
I also think not allowing the watch to work stand alone and supporting Android is going to limit sales quite a bit. Although, I think there are about 500 million phones sold lifetime. So, if they sell 50 million watches over 3 years they might be happy.

I think the Samsung smartwatch only worked with a few select Samsung phone models. That was even more limiting than the iPhones. I think he said the Apple Watch will work with the iPhone 5 and up. I doubt we will ever see Apple products working with Android products due to the almost total lack of security in Android. Google just doesn't give a crap about security. I got more spam and BS with my Android phone than any other device ever. With the iPhone I get very little, and I can quickly shut down the spammers that do manage to get through the T-Mobile system.
