This is unchecked, not that I mean. You could see in my previous screenshot that the CheckBox was unchecked.
This CheckBox is even worse, would popup a MsgBox if an update were available.
I mean attached screenshot 2, the notice down right.
I mean, Calibre could easily check, if this update is applicable or not.
If not, no update message or notice at all is shown (see my previous screenshot).
If yes, the user could decide if he wants a simple notification in the main window (see my previous screenshot) or even a PopUp Message.

EDIT: but If I think right, this bug must be fixed in 1.48, which is unfortunately not anymore under construction.
So Kovid could you please get it shortly out of the drawer and just fix this little unbeautiness?
