No, I didn't. :-) It's even in my text. “I then deleted the linkss folder, and repeated step four and did a touch /Volumes/Kindle/linkss/cover. And yes, /Volumes/Kindle/linkss and its contents had been created. ”

Ah, okay. That was the most important question for me. If the jailbreak's not broken, the process should work, provided I do everything in the correct orders. (Which I thought I did, but apparently I missed something.)

Oh no, I do mean the standard Amazon Kindle screensaver (it is a standard German Paperwhite 1 directly com amazon.de) , which has a couple of artsy print-related images like typwriter keys, type, alphabet blocks, pencils, centered ninbs, etc which change whenever I turn off the Kindle.
