Or are you totally ignoring the obvious, and far more generally accurate, connotation of prostitution, as something that the prostitute is RARELY proud of, is typically ashamed of, and something they are doing out of some form of desperation rather than because it's the life they'd choose?

If the OP views this as a 'dilemma' then they know very well this work will make them feel like a crack-whore, and they know why.
